- The competition is open to all serving and retired members of the
Police Services and their families
- This competition is not open to directors, employees, contractors
and anyone closely associated with the MPFS, or their family
members or professional photographers.
- If you take pictures of children (under the age of 16) you must
have written permission from their parents. This written
permission must then be sent in with the photographs.
- Entrants under 16 must obtain written permission from a parent
or guardian before entering
- You must provide the MPFS with your name, address, telephone
number and email address if you wish to enter this competition.
The MPFS will only use your personal details for the purposes of
administering this competition, and will not provide them to
anyone without your permission.
- Please note: any pictures submitted by post will not be returned.
- Entrants submitting digital files using the online entry form or by
email should print and keep a copy of the online entry form with
all necessary details added.
- A maximum of three entries will be accepted per person, each
entry should have a location and may include an optional title
and description. Your entry must be entirely your own original
work, not defame anybody nor breach any copyright and must
not have been previously published
- The photographic image must not be subject to manipulation.
The judges reserve the right to exclude any image they believe
may have been excessively treated so as to alter its
authenticity. Please retain the original digital file/negative for
reference; it may be required to prove that it is your own work
- The MPFS do not accept any responsibility for late, lost, illegible,
incomplete, defaced or corrupt entries due to the internet or
postal service. Proof of posting or transmission will not be
accepted as proof of receipt.
- The MPFS decisions are final in every situation and no
correspondence will be entered into.
- The MPFS reserve the right to publicly display all entries and to
publish any images to promote the MPFS and/or the
photography competition. Copyright will remain with the
photographer. You agree to your name and location being
published in relation to your photograph online and in all media
and you agree to take part in any competition publicity if asked
to do so.
- It is the entrant's responsibility to ensure that all the necessary
permissions are obtained from people featured in a photograph.
- The MPFS reserve the right to cancel or alter the terms and conditions of this competition at any
stage, if deemed necessary in their opinion, and if
circumstances arise outside of their control.
- Prizes unclaimed after 28 days will be deemed to have been
forfeited and the MPFS reserve the right to offer the prize to
another entrant.
- By entering the competition, entrants will be deemed to have
understood the above rules and accepted them and agree to be
bound to them when entering the competition.
- These rules are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
- This competition is administered by the MPFS.
