The roots of the Society go back to 1893 when the Metropolitan Police Provident Association was formed, evolving to its current form in 1948.

metfriendly has 15,000 members drawn from the police family in London and beyond (see eligibility).
We remain a mutual - our members who save on a regular basis or invest lump sums with us share in our profits. Our assets exceed £80 million and are invested in bonds, shares and property.
We also provide protection products - e.g. mortgage protection to safeguard your dependants and income protection to help you cope with prolonged sickness or injury.
