Judge's Comments
A rightful overall winner of the competition. The robin, together with a well balanced background of holly and snow, brings out the essence of winter in Britain.
I especially like the sharpness of the image, the catchlight in the robin's eye that gives the robin its lifelike quality and the feather detail that can be seen in the red breast and other parts of the plumage.
