Judge's Comments
Police motorcycle patrolling officers form the subject of this image. This is very well taken and perfectly exposed. The movement has been 'frozen' although with this image the background is also sharp meaning that this was taken at a high shutter speed rather than being 'panned'. This is a very sharp image that contains an enormous amount of detail.
Compositionally it works very well with the motorcyclists filling the right hand third of the image with the route they have been taking filling the remaining two thirds of the image.
