Judge's Comments
Peace and tranquillity define this very pleasing shot of the coastline in Cumbria.
To me this has a perfect balance of grassy bank, shoreline and sky. The horizon is perfectly level, the sky has a perfect balance of blue and interesting cloud detail and the signpost is perfectly positioned within the frame reaching into the sky to provide additional interest.
This shot is perfectly exposed and focused and is an exemplar of landscape composition excellence.
