The competition is open to all serving and retired members of the police service and their families (see rules).
There are 4 categories:
You are permitted to enter a maximum of 8 images, 2 in each category.
The closing date for entries is 30 June 2009. Winners will be notified by the end of July 2009. The results will be announced on 'Friendly Society' and the 'MPPS' Intranet and Internet websites before the end of August 2009.
You can email us your digital images at photos@mpfs.org.uk. (remembering to fill in your contact details and attach your image(s)) or via post/dispatch remembering to include your contact details.
There will be a 1st, 2nd and 3rd placed prize of £250, £150, £50 respectively in each category, plus an additional £200 for the image adjudged the overall best. In addition to this, the 4 category winners will receive a year's free membership to the 'MPPS' and all 12 of the winning images will receive a Free Bobby Bear and appear in the Society's 2010 Calendar.
In addition to the above we will be making a random draw of everyone who submits an image(s) and 6 lucky entrants will receive a FREE Bobby Bear.
All images must be landscape in orientation for ease of publication. Pictures should be at least 2048x1536 pixels compressed or otherwise in TIFF or JPEG format. A 3 megapixel camera should produce a suitably sized image. If images of a smaller pixel resolution are submitted we cannot guarantee that they will be included in the final judging. Each email entry must be under 10MB in size.
