Introduction

The 5 Year Plan has long been our most popular savings plan. Our low costs enable us to provide attractive returns after only 5 years. Many of our members value the ability to pay us through salary deduction - and take out a new plan (or two) each year so they can look forward to receiving a regular payout every year throughout their service (after the initial 5 years). If you time it right, you can receive a regular payout to help fund Christmas, or perhaps a summer holiday. We also have many members who have carried on saving into retirement - using a Direct Debit.

As well as the 5 Year Plan, we have now two good alternatives to offer you, each with a greater exposure to the equity market.

  • The Flexible Savings Plan has no medical underwriting nor age limits. Each year's premiums form a separate contract, leaving you in control of how long you let your investment run, and giving you more freedom to cash in part or all of your savings
  • We also offer an ISA, and just like our other savings plans your premiums are invested in the Society's With-Profits Fund, but you benefit from higher bonuses and no tax to pay on the profits. Please note that our ISA is designed as a medium to long term investment, and that we do not offer a Cash ISA.
